Acupuncture To Support In Vitro Fertilization
Acupuncture has been used to enhance fertility naturally, safely and effectively for over 2,500 years. It is supported by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Washington DC, worldwide by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Mayo Clinic.
Numerous studies showed that acupuncture increases the chances of conception, the rate of the embryo implantation success, ongoing pregnancy rates and live birth rates for women receiving IVF.
Benefits of Using Acupuncture to Support IVF.
- Increases blood circulation to the reproductive organs and helps drug delivery to the ovaries.
- Supports the development of a healthy uterine lining and improves the chances of the embryo implanting on the uterine wall.
- Reduces the increased levels of stress hormones associated with the fertility process and the anxiety.
It was recommended to me during my treatment for infertility to look into acupuncture as supplemental therapy.
I began seeing Dr. Kim a week before my transfer date. He was so wonderful at explaining to me what the therapies were targeting.
It is very important to build a strong uterine lining to arry the embryos once they are transferred.
My treatment continued twice weekly until I had a confirmed positive pregnancy test! I'm currently carrying twins, and they look healthy and are growing wonderfully! My IVF doc even complimented my uterine lining at my first ultrasound by crediting my acupuncture therapy for its strength!
Thank you Dr. Kim and Hyun for all you do!
